Maria Rosário Pedreira este poetă, romancieră, scriitoare de cărți pentru copii și director editorial la Grupul Editorial Leya din Portugalia. Scrie poezie de când a învățat să citească, dar a publicat primul volum în 1996 – A Casa e o Cheiro dos Livros (Casa și mirosul cărților). Cu trei ani înainte i-a apărut romanul Alguns homens, duas mulheres e eu (Câțiva bărbați, două femei și eu). Și mai devreme a început să scrie o serie de romane pentru adolescenți, O Clube das Chaves (Clubul cheilor), publicată în 21 de volume, care a fost adaptată într-un serial TV. I-au urmat o altă serie de 19 volume, și ea ecranizată (Detective Maravilhas), dar și alte cărți pentru copii și alte volume de poezie. Și-a început cariera ca editoare la finalul anilor ’80, după ce a lucrat o perioadă ca profesoară. La Leya se ocupă de divizia de ficțiune portugheză. Mizând pe buna calitate și pe inovație și în literatura pe care o curatoriază, și în cea pe care o scrie, Maria Rosário Pedreira este convinsă că poezia oferă o mare libertate.

Henrique Mota is the founder and publisher of Princípia Editora in Portugal. After studying Law at the Portuguese Catholic University and International Relations at Johns Hopkins University, he followed an academic career and a journalistic one. In 1997, Henrique Mota founded Princípia, at first an academic publishing house, which now has six imprints, covering nonacademic genres as well. Between 2016 and 2018 he was the president of the Federation of European Publishers, having multiple initiatives in defending the freedom of publishing and enforcing the copyright law.
Irina Adelina Găinușă is an English teacher and student at MA degree in English Linguistics at the University of Bucharest. She participated as a volunteer in four editions of the Bookfest International Book Fair in Bucharest, as well as in other cultural events of the capital. She writes and translates poems, she likes people and words. Irina is a core member of the Book Industry team, translating many of the interviews published here into English. And for this effort we are very grateful to her.
Mihai Mitrică is executive director of the Association of Romanian Publishers [Asociația Editorilor din România, AER]. He is the representative of Romanian publishers in relation with national and international legislative institutions, AER being a member of the Federation of European Publishers. Since 2012, Mihai Mitrică has been coordinating the organisation of Bookfest book fairs all over the country, but also in Chişinău. He started his career as a journalist, then worked in two large press trusts. However, he changed his profession in 2011, and made it his personal mission to make the Romanian book industry a better and more advantageous environment for both publishers and readers.
